Sigtuna town, Sweden

Sigtuna is Sweden’s first town! The map of the town today looks more or less the same as it did when it was founded in 980 by Erik Segersäll. The original main street is located about three metres under the Stora Gatan, which we walk on today.

Hotel Kristina is located just a stone’s throw from the Stora Gatan. Your shopping experience here will be in unique outlets with a wide range of brands in an authentic atmosphere. Bakeries, cafés, restaurants, cinema, library, craftspeople and Sigtuna museum are located side by side in beautiful 18th- and 19th-century wooden buildings painted in bright and cheerful pastel colours.

The lovely beach promenade runs alongside Lake Mälaren, punctuated by “experience piers” to give people direct contact with the water all the way to the Sjudargårdsbadet public beach.
